Here\u2019s advice that I follow by:<\/p>\n<p>1. Recruit the best talent \u2013 As a founder or CEO you\u2019ll spend most of your time recruiting and putting together your exec team. The first 10 employees will dictate company culture and be crucial to success. You\u2019ll need to set expectations up front for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>2. Have a revenue plan \u2013 I\u2019m amazed at the number of startups that don\u2019t have a solid or realistic revenue strategy.<br \/>&#8230;<br \/>8. Have fun! \u2013 Most likely your first startup is not going to be a home run, but keep at it and stay persistent.
