Some small town business people tell me no one would subscribe to their blog. Some bloggers tell me no one subscribes anymore; RSS readers are dead. To me, that’s all the more reason to blog now. Here are nine reasons to blog even if no one ever subscribes.<\/div>\n

  1. You’ll improve your writing.<\/li>\n
  2. You’ll look for customer problems to solve, just so you can write about them.<\/li>\n
  3. You’ll gain traffic from search engines. The longer you blog, the more questions you answer, the more traffic you’ll gain.<\/li>\n
  4. You’ll be able to look up answers to customer questions. You can copy and paste them into emails, or even print them out and hand them to customers.<\/li>\n
  5. You’ll share your valuable knowledge with other team members.<\/li>\n
  6. You’ll build skills with other media, as you start adding photos or videos to make points.<\/li>\n
  7. You’ll develop a question orientation.<\/li>\n
  8. You’ll show attention to team members, customers and suppliers when you go to them to help answer questions.<\/li>\n
  9. You can re-purpose content for your email or newsletter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
