We focus on what to improve, what we lack, what we messed up last year.<\/p>\n<p>My friend, educator\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kristiepf.com\/\">Kristie Pretti-Frontczak<\/a> suggested a strengths assessment instead. Here are her questions to kick off your thinking:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>What do you aspire to accomplish within the next year, within the next 3 months, within the next 30 days?<\/li>\n<li>What goals will move you toward your aspirations?<\/li>\n<li>If you were to rank the top three goals to begin working on immediately, what would they be?<\/li>\n<li>What do you see as your strengths that will help you to accomplish your goals?<\/li>\n<li>What do you see as opportunities to learn or grow that will help you to accomplish your goals?<\/li>\n<li>If\u00a0you\u00a0could\u00a0have\u00a0one\u00a0tool\u00a0or\u00a0piece\u00a0of\u00a0information\u00a0that\u00a0would\u00a0be\u00a0key\u00a0to\u00a0your\u00a0aspirations,\u00a0what\u00a0would\u00a0it\u00a0be?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I find her approach of starting with your strengths, instead of what needs fixing, refreshing.
